CRUMLEY, Albert Thomas

Albert T. Crumley, well known resident of the Mellott community, expired at his home three miles southwest of there Tuesday night at 7:30 o'clock following an illness from a complication of diseases. Mr. Crumley was born on a farm near Mellott and had spent all his life in this neighborhood. He was the son of Henry and Julia Bennett Crumley and was born August 15 1869. On May 11 1891, he was united in marriage with Dicey M. McCollum. Mr. Crumley was a member of the Red Men's lodge. Those surviving are the wife and three sons, Roy of Waveland, Ward of New Market and Fred of Hillsboro. Three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Christman of Wingate, Mrs. Matt Parks of West Point and Mrs. Philip Helmick of Veedersburg; two brothers, Walter and Ralph of Hillsboro and fifteen grandchildren also survive. The funeral services were conducted from the north Christian church in Mellott at two o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Frye in charge. Burial was made in the Hillsboro cemetery.

Attica, Ind May 16 – Bert Crumley, about 50 years old and a life-long resident of Fountain County, died at 8:15 o’clock Tuesday evening at the family home near Mellott, after an illness of several weeks. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crumley. Surviving are the widow, six children, Mrs. Alice Helmick of Veedersburg; Mrs. Ruth Crissman of Wingate; Mrs. Mat Parks of Odell; Roy of Waveland; Fred of Hillsboro and Ward of Mellott with two brothers, Walter and Ralph Crumley of Hillsboro. – kbz
